Colombian death metal act Sol De Sangre will be releasing a brand new EP, “Despair Distiller”, early 2021. The band has shared the first single, “Dismal Blasphemies” along with an accompanying music video.
The video for “Dismal Blasphemies” was directed, and edited by Sol de Sangre’s drummer Gonzalo Restrepo.
Sol de Sangre is a multi-country death metal band, formed in 2015, that displays good old death metal with a South American feel. According to Decibel Magazine, Sol de Sangre is relentless in their approach to songwriting. The band has displayed its immense talent and power since their debut self-titled full-length album, Sol de Sangre, released on Black Market Metal Label in 2018. A year later, they followed up with the split release La Senda de la Muerte, released through War Anthem Records.
Sol de Sangre returns with a three song EP as a prelude to their sophomore album. Recorded and mixed at Estudio Retro in Medellin, Colombia and mastered at Begin Studio in Vancouver, Canada, Despair Distiller shows Sol de Sangre diving into the English language and darker waters of death metal.
“This time around we made no experiments, no mixtures, no fashions, no disguises, no gimmicks. This is a tribute to what was great and will be forever: Death Metal.”
