The German metal band around Summer Breeze founder Achim Ostertag, Voodoo Kiss, will release their second studio album “Feel The Curse” on August 16th, 2024 via Reaper Entertainment. With verve, vigor, punky grit and their typical sense of melodic heaviness, Voodoo Kiss blast, fabulate and groove their way through eight powerful examples of how this music of the eighties can still be exciting, original and rousing in the 21st century.

“Lords Of Darkness” is musically and lyrically the ‘centerpiece’ of the record and therefore a logical choice to represent and ‘tease’ the album as a single. The basic ideas of this song go back to the beginnings of Voodoo Kiss, but we completely reworked the song in the rehearsal room, rearranged it, turned it inside out and gave it a whole new life, vocal melodies and of course lyrics that fit the concept of the record and the musical direction. We also decided to have Steffi perform most of the song on vocals, as her soft and beguiling voice was a perfect match for the delicate melodies and I already sing the rest of the album to the ground, haha.”
