South American thrash/death metal legends Torturer return with the release of their new music video for “Santa Inquisición”, a blistering track from their latest album, “Burning Cross”.
“Santa Inquisición” explores the fanatical vision of a sect that wielded the cross and the sword to combat the so-called enemies of the church. It stands as yet another example of humankind’s attempts to control and oppress the masses. How many innocent lives suffered and perished because of this?” ,
Francisco Cautín, original singer and bassist of Torturer.
Directed by Nicolás Cubillos and Maximiliano Díaz, the video is a striking visual experience that mirrors the song’s relentless energy. Dark, cinematic imagery pulls viewers into a world of turmoil, featuring haunting depictions of burning crosses, churches, and twisted figures.
“Santa Inquisición” was originally written for Torturer’s 1995 EP “Los Últimos Tiempos” but was re-recorded for Burning Cross, the band’s latest full-length album, released last month via Australis Records. The album is already generating buzz as one of the most notable releases of the year in the thrash/death metal scene.
