Seth Metoyer, a multi-genre musician and composer known for his work in extreme metal and film scoring, is set to release “House of Echoes” on March 21st, the first single from his highly anticipated debut album, through the Vanishing Point. This dual release between Broken Curfew Records and Rottweiler Records showcases Metoyer’s ability to blend dark atmospheric textures, intricate guitar work and emotionally raw storytelling into a sound that fuses alternative rock and metal.
For fans of A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Tool, Bad Omens and Sleep Token, House of Echoes delivers a powerful sonic experience, bridging melodic introspection with heavy intensity.
“This album is a reflection of the spaces between reality and memory, and ‘House of Echoes’ sets the tone for what’s to come,” says Metoyer. “This song is about echoes of the past – the spaces between what once was and what still lingers, and the journey toward healing. If you’ve ever felt haunted by a place, a moment, or a feeling, you’ll understand.”
Metoyer produced, mixed and mastered the album at Broken Curfew Studios in Monterey, CA, crafting sonic depth and clarity. Kris Olson (Brain Matter, Pulpit Vomit) lays down the bass on this track and across the album – except for a Live Studio Version of a track performed by a shadowy collective of Monterey studio musicians known as The Monterey Shiz.
The cover art, designed by Seth Metoyer, visually reflects the song’s eerie, dreamlike quality, reinforcing themes of isolation, echoes of the past and emotional catharsis.
House of Echoes will be available on all major streaming platforms on March 21st.
A music video for the single is set to premiere soon, bringing the track’s intensity to life with striking visuals. Stay tuned for the full album, Through the Vanishing Point, coming in May 2025.
