Get it while stocks last! Finnish hard rockers Lordi have returned, thrilling horror fans and aspiring enthusiasts alike with their 19th release, “Limited Deadition”, in the most entertaining way possible. Available now through Reigning Phoenix Music, the record pays tribute to old-school collectibles and frontmonster Mr Lordi’s joy of ‘hoarding’ all kinds of items, including magazines. That’s why the group have now also launched a lyric video for “Fangoria”, another track off their new album but also the name of one of the most famous horror and movie outlets worldwide.

“‘Fangoria’ takes its name from the American horror and cult film magazine of the same name. It was my favourite magazine of the 80s and 90s. Monsters, horror stories, movies, and especially the articles on costume design SFX were the big things for me. I have long wanted to do a song of the matter and pay tribute to the best magazine of my youth, which certainly has its part to play among the influences that later would become a worldwide phenomenon”,

grins Mr Lordi.

To sum it up: this song is Lordi’s nostalgia trip back to the youth of Mr Lordi – a life-long fan of horror and sci-fi genres – who was a subscriber to the magazine, drawing inspiration from every page. Fittingly, the band have even added a reference to the Back To The Future film series in the intro. The more observant true fans might quickly guess what it’s all about.

Also known for their spectacular live events, Lordi are kicking off their First Deadition European tour with support coming from Rabbit Cult (Finland only) and Sick n’ Beautiful (March 25 – April 17) today, promising a re-worked show with unseen tricks.
