Heavily influenced by 1980s sleaze rock and hair metal, the album explores the hardships of life, with each track focusing on a different personal struggle. “The Run” ties the album together, conveying the message to “live life to the fullest”.

“The lyrics blend perfectly to the ‘Break The Chain’ atmosphere. You are in a town that brings you nothing but misery because even the people in it have given up on their dreams and if you tell your dreams to them, they will put your spirit down too. Regardless of that, you’ve found your partner in escape and nothing’s gonna stop you from living life to the fullest”.
