Hailing from the country music heartland of Nashville, Tennessee, Halo Theory are a hard hitting metal band, built around the core talents of vocalist Steve Braun (Halcyon Way) and guitarist Chris Metker (3 Minutes To Live). Together they mine a seam of metal that draws on both classic and contemporary sounds, an amalgamation of cultured melody and raw power, emotive lyricism and impressive technical dexterity. In the fading days of 2023 Halo Theory released their debut EP, “The Awakening” – featuring six tracks of formidable drive and focus, including a muscular cover version of Bullet For My Valentine’s ‘Breaking Point’. Nestled at the heart of “The Awakening” was its most potent track, a huge slice of metal just made for the grandest of stages, radiating class and beautifully structured…”Devil You Know”.

Now in 2024 Braun and Metker have decided to give “Devil You Know” the platform that it has been crying out for, a spotlight all of its own. A new lyric video has been created in association with label Rottweiler Records, blending futuristic images, dark fantasy and dystopian elements with the artwork of illustrator Bo Bradshaw (Hellion Prime, Planeswalker, Syryn etc) who also brought to life the cover artwork of The Awakening. Steve Braun’s majestic, melodic vocals are breathtaking on the soaring, Iron Maiden-esque chorus of “Devil You Know” and Chris Metker shows how effective and stirring his lead work can be, whilst never overplaying and detracting from the heart of the song itself. “Devil You Know” shows Halo Theory’s modern metal crunch as well as their song writing class, as some punching, aggressive riffs of formidable force are unleashed as the song progresses. This song, this video, offer the perfect gateway into the superlative metallic world of Halo Theory.
