The long-awaited death metal night in Dorćol Platz finally arrives in Belgrade this Friday! As part of the European tour “Chronicles of Lunacy” fans will enjoy the performances of six bands: Defeated Sanity, To Violently Vomit (ex-Disgorge), Putrid Pile, Embryonic Devourment, Asylum TX and local Deadspawned! Defeated Sanity is a German technical death metal band that in its brutal expression it also has a pinch of jazz elements, with obvious influences from Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation. It was founded in 1993 by guitarist Wolfgang Teske and his son Lille Gruber. The band released six albums, while the seventh, “Chronicles of Lunacy” with eight new songs, will see the light of day on November 22 and it will be promoted on this occasion. The members of the band today are: Josh Welshman – vocals, Jacob Schmidt – bass, Vaughn Stoffey – guitar and already mentioned founder, Lille Gruber – drums.
To Violently Vomit is a kind of tribute to Disgorge, which actually consists mainly of the former members of that iconic brutal death metal band, and on this occasion they will play classics from all over the world four Disgorge albums. The band members are Angel Ochoa – vocalist, Diego Sanchez – guitar, Ed Talorda – guitar, Diego Soria – bass and Scott Ellis – drums.
Putrid Pile is a one-man brutal death metal band led by a legendary American Shaun Lacanne, who is the vocalist, bassist, drummer and guitarist in this great project. Behind he has as many as six albums, and at this really specific performance you can expect the biggest hits from his career.
Embryonic Devourment. Anunnaki. Reptilians. David Icke. Secret Society. Technical brutal death metal. Five albums. Band members are Austin Spence – vocals/bass, Ben Harris – guitar and Luka Boutiette – drums. Respect!
As the name relatively subtly suggests, Asylum TX is a band from Texas, founded in 2012. year. They have two albums behind them and play very specific technical death metal. They are band members Coldby Rodgers – vocals, Trey Hepfer – guitar, Jonathan Hatley – guitar and Carlos Alonzo Gallegos – bass.
Deadspawned was formed by guitarist Milan Dobrosavljević (Sacramental Blood, ex-Amon Din) after leaving the Scaffold in mid-2022. From the idea to the final formation passed two years, when in May 2024 drummer Nemanja Bubalo (Infidel, Haste) joins, and a little later Pavle Bojković (Light Denied, ex-BegUsToStop, ex Redenik…) on second guitar. They have been practicing for a few months as trio, and the line-up was completed at the end of the year by bassist Marko Blagojević (Vergel, Light Denied) and singer Jovan Josipović (HSF, Haste). Their style can be described as a combination of death and thrash, and this will be their first performance in general.
