A big thrash metal night is coming up on Tuesday, March 11th at Zappa Baza. As part of the Eastern European “Profanation” tour the Athenian thrash metallers, Suicidal Angels, will play for the fans in Belgrade after a long ten years. Domination Inc. will join them on stage. The advance ticket price is 2500 dinars and I can to be purchased through Gigstix, while on the day of the concert it will cost 2,900 dinars. The Greek band Suicidal Angels appeared in 2001 with a sound based on classic thrash metal from the 80s, especially from the Bay Area scene.Since than, the band releases pearls such as “Bloodbath” (2012), “Years of Aggression” (2019) and “Profane Player” (2024). Inspired by bands such as Napalm Death, Celtic Frost and Slayer, Suicidal Angels was founded in 2001 by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Nick Melissourgos. The band released the demo “United by Hate” in 2002, followed by the EP “Bloodthirsty Humanity” in 2004. A four-track single appeared in 2006, paving the way for Eternal’s first full-length album “Domination”. By then, the band had expanded its fan base across Europe and began to attract attention abroad. In 2008, the band signed a contract with Nuclear Blast and started recording the second album “Sanctify the Darkness” (2009), first released for German metal label NoiseArt. The next three years, the band had an ambitious tour, performing at numerous festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Metalcamp, Sonisphere and Brutal Assault. During that period they issued third and fourth albums, “Dead Again” (2010) and “Bloodbath” (2012).
The album “Divide and Conquer” from 2014 had great success on the German charts, as well as “Division of Blood” from 2016. Their seventh album, “Years of Aggression”, out in 2019, has found the way to the fans in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The band is back in Nuclear Blast for their eighth album “Profane Prayer”, which was released 2024 and emphasized the technical skills and ferocity of the band.
