Italian black metal outfit Ardeat unleashes their ferocious new single, “Ignis Fatum”, today via Wormholedeath. The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album “Apotheosis”, due for release on 20 December 2024.

“Ignis Fatum” merges mythology and existential themes, depicting a journey through destruction and rebirth. References to Danae’s tower and Dionysian chaos evoke the inevitability of fate and divine wrath. Both destructive and purifying, fire consumes the emptiness of existence, while commands to “Rise, Dominate, Dance, Rule” reflect a triumphant rebirth. The song channels mythic cycles of death and renewal, culminating in an ascent toward immortality as the soul transcends chaos and marches to the stars.

Ardeat is a black metal band from Brescia, Italy, formed in 2021 by Enrico Pinelli, Julian Polonioli, Riccardo Cremaschini, and Andrea Salvagni. After releasing a cover of Franco Battiato’s Atlantide, guitarist Cristian della Noce joined, and they recorded their debut EP, Exitivm, featuring a 20-minute song in two acts. Ardeat has performed with notable Italian metal acts like Mortuary Drape and Opera IX, blending black metal, early death metal, and NWOBHM influences, inspired by bands such as Dissection and Mgla.

Prepare for “Apotheosis” to arrive on December 20th, 2024. In the meantime, ignite your soul with the burning fury of “Ignis Fatum.”
