Legendary Hanoverians, Scorpions, are celebrating their 60 years anniversary. The band celebrates in their hometown in many ways including exhibition at the HAJ (Terminal B), concert and now by launching their own beer in cooperation with Gilde Brewery.
The Gilde Brewery is launching a special drink: the Scorpions beer. In keeping with the 60th anniversary of the hard rock band, the beer will go on sale. It is sold in cans that feature a design of the band.
The Scorpions not only contributed to the look of the can, but also created the beer themselves together with the guild brewmasters. Among other things, special hops (Mandarina Bavaria and Hallertauer Perle) were used.
“With its hop aroma, which is noticeable from the first sip, it tastes full-bodied and yet retains its refreshing character,”
says the brewery. The beer has an alcohol content of 4.8 percent.
“We are proud to work with such an iconic band as the Scorpions,” brewery owner Mike Gärtner is quoted as saying in a press release. “This cooperation combines the world of music with the art of brewing.”

To celebrate 60 years, on Wednesday, March 19th, the new rock stage at Hanover Airport was ceremoniously opened. Visitors can look forward to exciting exhibits and a unique band history that pays tribute to the musical heritage of the Scorpions. The UNESCO City of Music is also involved in this exciting project.
