The legendary British-French band Stereolab is coming to Croatia for the first time! This cult musical group, led by founders Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier, will perform on Saturday, June 14th at Tvornica Kulture. They are delivering hypnotic rhythms, layered melodies and a unique combination of experimental electronics and nostalgic pop. This will be their only concert in the region. Early bird tickets for the price of 34 euros can be purchased via Hangtime ticketing or at the Dirty Old Shop. The pre-sale price will be 37 euros, on the day if there are any left they will cost 40 euros.

Since their formation in 1990 in London, Stereolab have defined a distinctive sound that blends krautrock, bossa nova, space-age pop and avant-garde electronics, all enhanced by Sadier’s signature vocals and politically engaged lyrics. Their albums, such as “Emperor Tomato Ketchup”, “Dots and Loops” and “Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements”, have established them as one of the most influential musicians of the alternative scene of the 90s, and they have released a total of 10 studio albums in their career. Their ability to create a retro-futuristic atmosphere with minimalist rhythms and rich arrangements has made them an inspiration for numerous contemporary bands, including Tame Impala, Broadcast and Air. After a break, the band returned to the scene in 2019 with reissues of their cult albums and a series of concerts, and now they are finally coming to the Croatian audience. Along with Tim and Laetitia, the band today consists of Andy Ramsay (drums), Joseph Watson (keyboards, vibraphone, backing vocals) and Xavier Muñoz Guimera (bass, backing vocals). The premiere Zagreb concert at Tvornica kulture will be an opportunity to experience the soundscapes of Stereolab live, where analog synthesizers, repetitive rhythms and sophisticated melodic structures merge into a sonic magic.
