Anyone who was even slightly inclined to hard music and was born in the 80s probably had a phase where they vented their teenage rage with lyrics like “This is not my life / This is not my home / This is not me / I hate this!” Static-X released a lot of hits like “Push It”, “The Only”, “I Am With Stupid” and “Cold”.

Static-X was founded in 1994 in Los Angeles. Over the years the lineup changed, but it was stable for a long time thanks to the band’s founder, frontman, singer and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static, until his death in 2014. The band was founded by Wayne Static and original drummer Ken Jay. They became famous with their debut album “Wisconsin Death Trip” from 1999, when their strong industrial metal sound gained attention as part of the growing nu metal movement in the late 90s. The album later went platinum in the US. During the next decade, the band released five more albums: “Machine” (2001), “Shadow Zone” (2003), “Start a War” (2005), “Cannibal” (2007) and “Cult of Static” (2009). By 2011, the band had sold over three million albums worldwide.

Static-X took a break while Wayne Static worked on his solo album “Pighammer” in 2011. He briefly reformed the band in 2012 using members of his solo tour, but they officially broke up in June 2013. Wayne Static passed away on the November  1st, 2014 at the age of 48. The rest of the original line-up – bassist Tony Campos, lead guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay announced in 2018 that they were reuniting band in honor of Wayne Static, with Xer0 from the band Dope on vocals. Since then, they released two albums, the latest one is  “Project: Regeneration Vol. 2″, released at the beginning of  last year and which, along with the biggest hits of his rich career, will be promoted in the Hangar.

Dope is an industrial/nu metal band from New York, founded in 1997, best known for hit “Die MF Die”. They have released seven studio albums, and their latest album, “Blood Money Part Zer0″, saw the light of day in February 2023. Current lineup consists of founder, lead vocalist and keyboardist Edsel Dope, lead guitarist Virus, rhythm guitarist Acey Slade, bassist Daniel Fox and drummer Chris Warner. By 2022, Dope sold over a million albums worldwide.
The band was founded by Edsel Dope in 1997 as a songwriter and lead vocalist. As a child, Edsel and his brother Simon Dope were separated after their parents’ divorce. They are again bonded as adults, when Simon joined Edsel’s band as a keyboardist, in charge of samples and percussion. After that they recruited Sloane Jentry as guitarist, Preston Nash as drummer and Tripp Eisen as bassist. Unlike many popular bands from the 90s, Dope based its sound on heavy metal bands, which they combined with the industrial rock sound of bands like Ministry and Skinny Puppy, but the influences of bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Kiss and White Zombie is recognizable. In its early days, members of Dopa sold drugs to survive and bought musical instruments. The band’s name, Dope, refers to heroin, their substance Edsel and Simon traded in the New York area. This will be their first performance in Serbia, so it would be a sin to miss it. We’ll see you on July 26 in the Hangar – secure your tickets in time!
