Retador, the Spanish thrash metal outfit from Málaga, has unveiled details of their second full-length album, “Earëndel”, set for release on 21st January 2025 through Xtreem Music. The album will be available in CD, 12” LP, and digital formats.
Formed in Málaga in late 2020, Retador quickly established themselves as a powerful force in the Spanish thrash scene. Their first demo in 2021 featured a music video and live performances in their local area, setting the stage for their rise.
In early 2022, the band recorded their debut album, “Retador”, at Moontower Studios in Barcelona, with mastering handled by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios in Germany. Released through Xtreem Music, the album was celebrated for its energetic and intense thrash metal, earning praise not only in Spain but across the globe, where it appeared on many year-end favourites lists.
Over the next two years, Retador performed extensively across Spain, playing at numerous festivals while developing material for their sophomore album. Returning to Moontower Studios in September 2024, the band recorded Earëndel, with Dan Swanö once again mastering the tracks at Unisound Studios.
