Frankfurt, Germany’s death metal juggernaut Magefa has officially released their highly anticipated and provocative new single, “Bombs Over Europe”. Known for their chaotic and infectious sound, the band delivers yet another brutal auditory assault that is already making waves – and this time, it comes with an added layer of controversy.
Originally banned due to its provocative lyrics, “Bombs Over Europe” was deemed too intense for its original distributor, forcing Magefa to release the track through an alternate platform. Now, this “forbidden song” has broken through the censors and hit the metal scene with full force, adding intrigue to an already explosive track.
Since their formation in 2014, Magefa – whose name is derived from the Hebrew word for “plague”—has carved out a niche in the extreme metal world with their distinctive blend of death and blackened death metal. Drawing influence from legendary acts like Carcass and Cannibal Corpse, as well as modern titans like Thy Art Is Murder and Whitechapel, Magefa’s sound is as relentless as it is captivating.
Their debut demo “A Peek Into Human Bodies” (2016), two EPs, and five powerful singles have paved the way for an upcoming album. With over 600,000 streams on Spotify, Magefa’s raw energy and technical prowess have already resonated within the global metal community. “Bombs Over Europe” continues this legacy, embodying the chaos, intensity, and boundary-pushing sound fans have come to expect.
