Lan/cet band was formed in late 2008. It emerged during a joint jam session of two friends from the backyard, Marcin “Jeż” Jerzyna and Michał “Hippis” Markowski. Rehearsals took place at the home of Jeż’s grandmother, Regina Gogłuska, in Koczergy – near the town of Parczew [PL].

In 2011, the band was joined by a friendly drummer, Robert “Roberto Mori” Protasewicz from Siedlce. A year later, Witold Popiel, an extraordinary painter who plays the trumpet, endowed the musical world of Lan/cet with peculiar sounds. After some time, an interesting, intriguing and original style emerged, which is still gaining momentum and charisma. At the turn of 2013 and 2014, the German record label Legacy Records from Dortmund released an album entitled “Nameless”, which included 10 original songs.

In 2020, the Parczew team was joined by Łukasz “Suchy” Suszko, owner of the Wesoła 24 Studio recording studio in Lublin. In their work, the band uses, in addition to natural instruments, sounds from nature and peculiar, unusual situations from everyday life.

After ten years, the second album entitled “Psilocybe Semilanceata” is going to be released, which is a record of many years of recording experiences, feelings and events that are true and sincere.

Soon, on September 27th, 2024, the Polish label Via Nocturna will release the second album entitled “Psilocybe Semilanceata”. Diana Sawicka from What the Moon Brings is responsible for the graphic design of the album. Album will be released in digital format and on CD (pre-order).

Below we present the newest song promoting the upcoming release, which the band comments on:

“This song is our musical description of the dark story that happened in the Jonesstone settlement in Guyana on November 18, 1978.”
