When Janne & Antti Wirman reactivated their joint band Warmen in August 2023, nobody could have guessed what was in store for us. In the past, Warmen was known more as a side project and playground for the Children of Bodom keyboardist, but with “Here For None”, the men (Janne “Warman“ Wirman, Petri Lindroos, Antti “Warman“ Wirman, Jyri Helko & Seppo Tarvainen) released a breathtaking melodic death metal masterpiece and impressively followed in the footsteps of Janne’s former band.

“Here For None” entered the Finnish and German album charts straight away and not only caused open mouths in these countries. The album has already been streamed over a million times on Spotify alone.

Today, the band presents an animated music video for one of the most popular songs from the album “A World Of Pain”.

The fully animated video clip was created by students on the Bachelor of Design (Animation & Interactive Media) programme at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. They have spent the last 15 weeks working on the video and the result is a visual firework, an animated short film. Producers Aaron McLoughlin and Simon Norton, along with their team, spent around 3000 hours creating the video. (Credits list below)

The band states:

“We’re delighted to announce that we’ve now got an animated video from RMIT University and we have to say, it’s fantastic. It’s an incredible visual firework that matches our song: A World Of Pain. Probably the most brutal song on the last album. It’s always fun to play it live. Very different from what we have ever done before.
Have fun watching it!“

Aaron McLoughlin adds:

“Our first impression of the track was how epic the raw emotion sounded, so we really wanted to convey that sense of scale. As always, the talented RMIT animation students never fail to impress, and they conceived this brutal off-world setting where big things occur. The concept art was so fantastic, we immediately knew we must incorporate lots of visual effects with the hand-drawn animation, much more than we’d ever done previously. I’m super proud of the result – it’s a planet-crushing track and the team worked countless hours to visualise the power of Warmen!”

Working with Flori from Reaper Entertainment, the RMIT University students have been producing stunning videos for countless bands including Children Of Bodom, Alestorm, Koorpiklaani, Tankard, Pain, Wolfchant and many more.
