Aphelion – the point of a planet, comet or any other body in the orbit that is most distant from the sun.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 a lot of creative minds fell into despair while others used the downtime to start additional outlets. Sebastian Ramstedt and Johan Bergebäck from Sweden’s Necrophobic teamed up with Dutch drummer Marco Prij (Cryptosis) to forge foreshadowing gloom into pure and precise sonic hostility.
After releasing a number of singles, the “Luciferian Age – EP” (2021), their debut album “Moribund” (2022) and Tobias Cristiansson joining the band on bass it was finally time to join the Century Media Records roster that is already the dark dwelling of Necrophobic and Cryptosis. Keep your eyes peeled for a first song taken from their upcoming album “Reaperdawn” that is scheduled for a release in the late summer.
With In AphelionRamstedt, Bergebäck, Prij and Cristiansson are immersing themselves in ultimate blackness.
